Fly

There’s a blindness of the present
When memories are born
Like the one I once met in August
His name is Julius
And it’s him I see
When I cannot sleep

There is forgetting of the strain, before we all departed
Winter seems so lovely, 20 years at ease
Being here I know how much I owe

But now it’s too late, now it’s too late
Now it’s too late, I’m gonna have to
For you it’s too late, for me it’s too late
Right away I have to
Fly by myself
Don’t you hear I’m not ready to carry it all and to
Fly by myself
To find a home
Please say I’m not alone

I’ll take grandma’s old phone, the piano, the red wooden chairs with me
I’ll find out if the city will really kill me or not
Anyway I’ll plant a tree where I stay

Though it’s so far, it is so far, it is so far, it’s what I wanted
For you it’s so far, for me it’s so far, you ride a car and I will
Fly by myself and very soon I’ll be ready to carry it all and to
Fly by myself to find a home, please say I’m not alone
I will fly …

And the moment I am through this I will see
That it turned out different than I thought it would be
